Isabelle has fostered a life long passion for languages with a particular interest in English. Coupled with her German preference for precision and thoroughness it seemed only natural that she become a certified English translator.
She managed to pass this interest on to her son and this passion, combined with a spirit of adventure, were their companions during a one-year stay on Vancouver Island during which they were infected with the ‘Canada virus.’
“We are true Canada Fans,” says Isabella. “ A love for the language and this magnificent country has compelled us to return to Canada - this time to the East Coast.”
Nova Scotia was her first choice this time because of the ready airline connection and short travel time to Europe but she has since been overwhelmed by the friendliness of Maritimers and impressed by the quality of available schooling.
“Translation is so much more than simply transferring words from one language into another. It involves insight into another culture and people, their customs and habits, the nuances of their way of living and thinking.”
